Mining Company
The Karya Putra Borneo concession lies within the administrative area of Batuah village of the Kecamatan Loa Jana, Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara province of Kalimantan Timur (East Kalimantan), Indonesia. The concession area is situation along the main road connecting the two largest cities in Kalimantan, i.e. Balikpapan and Samarinda, thereby assuring logistical convenience for the operations. The concession is 82 kms North by road from Balikpapan Airport (2 hours drive) and about 40 kms south of Samarinda City (1 hour drive)
Established in 2007, PT Mutiara Merdeka Jaya undertakes coal mining in a 1,039 hectare concession in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia, based on a production operation mining business permit issued by the Head of the One-Stop Investment and Integrated Services of East Kalimantan Province in 2017 and still valid until 2032.
Mining Services
Established in 2018, PT Tangan Kanan Investama is a mining contractor that provides contract mining services, civil works and infrastructure development and land logistics based on the Mining Services Business License issued by the Head of Investment Coordinating Board in 2020.
PT Purwo Bakti Pertiwi was established in 2018 and carries out businesses in the fields of mining services, civil works and construction. As the holder of a Mining Services Business License issued by the Head of Investment Coordinating Board in 2020, PT Purwo Bakti Pertiwi have invested in heavy equipment in order to serve needs and increase.
Trading
Established in 2008, PT Oorja Indo KGS engaged in the coal trading sector which supplies and trades coal products to domestic and export markets. PT Oorja Indo KGS is the holder of Coal Transport and Sales Permit (Izin Pengangkutan dan Penjualan Batubara / IPP) issued by the Minister of Investment/Head of Investment Coordinating Board in 2024, which is an extension of Special Production Operation Mining Business Permit for Coal Transport and Sales (IUP OPK Pengangkutan dan Penjualan Batubara) issued in 2019. PT Oorja Indo KGS also operates a Terminal for Own Use (TUKS) to Support Coal Mining Business Activities issued by the Minister of Investment/Head of Investment Coordinating Board.
Port
PT Indo Perkasa has become a Port Business Entity (Badan Usaha Pelabuhan/BUP) since 2021 based on Determination of Fulfilment of Port Business Entity Commitments from the Director General of Sea Transportation, Ministry of Transportation. PT Indo Perkasa continues processing the concession from the government to be able to manage and operate a public port on the Mahakam River, East Kalimantan. Indo Perkasa Jetty lies at a hauling distance of 21kms from KPB mine, along the river Mahakam in Bakungan Village, Kecamantan Loa Janan. The Jetty can also be accessed directly from Samarinda City in around 40 mins.
The logistics managed by IPK consists of Haul Road, Concrete Bridge, Container Bridge, Stockpile, and Jetty. The 21km of hauling road is owned and managed by PT. Indo Perkasa, IPK provides complete Hauling, Stockpiling, Crushing and Loading facilities to KPB and various other third party mines operating in the surrounding region
